Earlier in the day, Allu Arjun also took to his X handle to express his condolences and announce his contribution. "I am deeply saddened by the recent landslide in Wayanad. The landslides that occurred on July 30 in Chooralmala and Mundakkai of Wayanad have tragically claimed 308 lives. Union Minister and Thrissur Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) MP Suresh Gopi visited Kerala's Wayanad district on Sunday to assess the situation and the ongoing rescue operations.

The search and rescue operations in Wayanad have entered their sixth day, with several people still feared trapped in the debris. Wayanad District Collector Meghashree provided details about the ongoing efforts, stating that over 1,300 forces have been deployed for the operation. "Rescue operation is going on in full swing. Today, 1,300 forces are deployed...volunteers are also there...yesterday volunteers who went for the rescue operation got stranded there, today we are taking precautions so that it doesn't happen," she told ANI.

Meanwhile, the Kerala Chief Minister's Office has instituted night patrolling by the police in Chooralmala and Mundakkai areas to prevent trespassing and ensure safety. The office emphasized that no one should enter these areas without police permission for rescue operations.

On Saturday, the Indian Air Force airlifted one ZAWER and four REECO radars from Siachen and Delhi to expedite the search operations. Additionally, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Indian Army, and Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully rescued three personnel stranded at Soochipara Waterfalls in Wayanad.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the landslides stands at 308, according to Kerala Health Minister Veena George. The recovery efforts continue as the state mourns the loss of lives and works towards rehabilitation and support for the affected communities.
