Trisha Krishnan Finally Reacts To Actor Mansoor Ali Khan Apology

Trisha Krishnan has responded to a public apology from actor Mansoor Ali Khan after he made misogynistic remarks about her. The incident has sparked a legal battle, with the All Women Police Station (AWPS) of Thousand Lights, Chennai, issuing a summons to Mansoor Ali Khan for not appearing at the police station.

In a statement, Mansoor Ali Khan expressed his apology, saying, "Forgive me Trisha, my colleague in the film industry." Trisha, in turn, took to her social media handle to respond, stating, "To err is human, to forgive is divine."

The Chennai City Police booked Mansoor Ali Khan under Sections 354 A (sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code. The action was initiated based on an order by DGP Shankar Jiwal. The National Commission for Women had earlier taken notice of the matter, directing the Tamil Nadu police to register a case against the actor.

The AWPS summoned Mansoor Ali Khan for his derogatory remarks against Trisha Krishnan. In response, the actor claimed he needed more time, citing a throat infection as the reason.

The controversy began from a video of Mansoor Ali Khan's interview circulating on social media. In the video, he allegedly expressed a desire for a rape scene in the movie 'Leo,' starring Trisha, similar to scenes he had done with other actresses in the past.

Trisha, reacting to Khan's remarks, condemned his comments on social media, labeling them as "sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive, and in bad sense." She also vowed never to share screen space with someone making such comments.

National Commission for Women member and BJP leader Khushbu Sundar also condemned Khan's remarks, expressing solidarity with Trisha and other colleagues who faced such comments. She emphasized the need to stand against individuals with a "filthy mind" in society.
