Adah Sharma Breaks Silence: Why She Isn't Afraid to Live in Sushant Singh Rajput's Flat

Adah Sharma, who has recently garnered significant acclaim for her role in The Kerala Story, has been at the centre of public scrutiny following her decision to move into the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s flat. The actor's tragic death on June 14, 2020, left his Mount Blanc apartment vacant until Sharma's recent tenancy. In light of this, Adah Sharma has been asked whether she feels apprehensive living in the flat where the actor ended his life.

Addressing Fears: Adah Sharma’s Perspective

In a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Sharma was questioned about her comfort living in the flat once occupied by Rajput. Dismissing any notion of fear, Sharma stated resolutely, "Why should there be fear? If you haven't done anything wrong in life, there is no reason to be afraid. If you are involved in something shady or have done something wrong, then fear is warranted. But I don't think there's any reason to fear." Her response underscores her confidence and conviction in her personal choices.

The Decision to Move In: Overcoming Caution

Previously, in an interview, Sharma elaborated on the decision to reside in Rajput’s flat. Despite receiving warnings from various quarters about moving into the actor's former residence, she chose to trust her instincts. Reflecting on her career, Sharma recalled experiences from her debut film, 1920, where she had encountered attempts to unsettle her but had, instead, turned the tables, demonstrating her resilience.

Financial Aspects and Family Support

Regarding the financial aspects of her new residence, Sharma disclosed that her grandmother assists with the rent. She clarified, “I rented that flat... the 378 crores earned by The Kerala Story (2023) are not mine! My grandmother also helps with the rent since she lives there as well. My mother does not work, so she doesn’t contribute financially, but she does prepare wonderful meals for us.” This insight into her personal life highlights the support system that aids her, contrasting with public perceptions of her financial standing.

Upcoming Projects

On the horizon for Adah Sharma is her appearance in Vikram Bhatt’s upcoming film Tumko Meri Kasam. The film will see her sharing the screen with notable actors such as Anupam Kher, Ishwak Singh, and Esha Deol, marking yet another significant step in her burgeoning career.
