In recent times, Bollywood actors have been captivating audiences with their ventures into the realm of web series, and one such actor who has been making headlines is Shekhar Suman. Notably, his involvement in the web series "Heeramandi" has garnered significant attention, coinciding with his alignment with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This move, although surprising to some, marks a notable development in the actor's career and political journey.

Shekhar Suman's association with the BJP comes on the heels of his previous foray into politics, having contested against Shatrughan Sinha from Patna Sahib in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections. His recent appearance alongside Vinod Tawde at the BJP headquarters in Delhi signifies his formal alignment with the party. However, amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections across the nation, it remains uncertain whether Shekhar Suman intends to pursue electoral politics in the future.

While his political affiliations draw attention, Shekhar Suman's professional achievements are equally noteworthy. His portrayal in the web series "Heeramandi," which premiered on Netflix, has been met with acclaim. The series, set in the backdrop of a red-light district, showcases Suman's versatility as an actor, further highlighted by the inclusion of his son, Adhyayan Suman, in a pivotal role. Alongside them, a stellar cast comprising names like Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Farida Jalal, and Fardeen Khan adds to the series' allure.

Notably, Shekhar Suman's performance in "Heera Mandi" has garnered attention for its intimacy, particularly a scene featuring him with actress Manisha Koirala. Suman revealed that acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali made last-minute alterations to enhance the scene, adding a layer of authenticity to their on-screen chemistry.

In a parallel development, television actress Rupali Ganguly recently announced her association with the BJP. Expressing her decision, Ganguly emphasized her admiration for the party's vision of development, referring to it as a "mega-yagna."
