At the beginning of August, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, who recently celebrated their union in an opulent wedding ceremony, were seen supporting the Indian contingent at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Their attendance in Paris was marked by the presence of Anant's father, Mukesh Ambani, the wealthiest individual in Asia, along with his sister Isha Ambani and brother-in-law Anand Piramal. Anant sported a casual floral-print shirt, while Radhika dazzled in a vibrant orange skirt and top. Isha Ambani appeared elegant in a striking white ensemble, and Mukesh Ambani opted for a blue striped shirt.
The Ambani family's philanthropic arm, the Reliance Foundation, has established the India House in Paris. This cultural and hospitality center aims to foster a greater appreciation of Indian culture and heritage. In a noteworthy development, Neeta Ambani, a prominent member of the Indian Olympic Association, supported various Indian teams including table tennis, lawn tennis, shooting, swimming, golf, and judo, marking a first for the Olympics. As the CEO and Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, Neeta Ambani took the opportunity to honor the bronze medal-winning shooting team, expressing profound pride and respect for the athletes. She invoked Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inspiring words, “In sports, there are no losers, only winners and learners,” and lauded the athletes for their contributions to India’s prestige.

On social media, Anant Ambani’s appearance sparked a flurry of reactions. One user defended him, saying, “Let Anant live his life as he chooses. Why are you all so concerned about his body and hair? ” Meanwhile, another commenter suggested, “Someone should inform Anant Ambani about some traditional hair oil; he's losing hair from the back. Just a few days into marriage, and he's already bald.” In response, Mukul Shah urged, “People should let them live their lives without body shaming. We don’t know what they or their family might be going through. This is simply jealousy. Even though he’s wealthy, he might not be focusing on his hair, unlike many who value their appearance, whether they are middle-class or poor.”
On July 30, at the Paris Olympics, Indian shooters Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh clinched a bronze medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event. Bhaker etched her name in history as the first Indian to secure two medals in a single Olympics. The duo triumphed over Korea's Lee Wonho and Oh Ye Jin with a score of 16-10, thereby securing India’s second medal of the Games. Bhaker had earlier won bronze in the women’s 10-meter air pistol event, becoming the first Indian athlete to achieve this milestone since the country gained independence.
