Bangladesh's PM Resigns: Kananga Ranaut Speaks Out, 'No One Is Safe in Islamic Countries'

She remarked that no one is safe in Islamic countries, citing Sheikh Hasina's choice of India as a safe haven. Ranaut expressed her sentiments on X, stating, "India is the true birthplace of neighbouring Islamic countries. We are honoured and pleased that the honourable Prime Minister of Bangladesh feels safe in India, but people living in India keep asking why a Hindu nation? Why Ram Rajya? Well, it's clear why!!!"

Kangana Ranaut, who has transitioned from a successful Bollywood career to politics, is serving her first term as an MP. She further commented, "No one is safe in Muslim countries, not even Muslims themselves. The situations in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Britain are unfortunate. We are fortunate to live in Ram Rajya. Jai Shri Ram." Ranaut is known for her often controversial and attention-grabbing remarks.

The backdrop to Sheikh Hasina's resignation is the large-scale protests that have erupted in Bangladesh over the past two days. These protests, directed against Hasina's government, have resulted in the deaths of over 100 people. Sheikh Hasina, the 76-year-old daughter of Bangladesh's founding father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has been a dominant figure in Bangladeshi politics, having been in power since 2009. She was re-elected for a fourth consecutive term and a fifth term overall in the 12th general election held in January.

The main opposition party, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), led by former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, along with its allies, boycotted the recent election. The ongoing protests are fuelled by widespread discontent with the controversial quota system, which reserves 30 percent of jobs for the families of those who fought in the 1971 Liberation War.
