The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a formal response to the contentious comments made by Kangana Ranaut, the Member of Parliament from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, regarding the recent farmers' protests. Kangana Ranaut's remarks have stirred controversy with her provocative assertion that a weaker leadership could have resulted in the farmers' protests escalating into a situation comparable to Bangladesh. In a video posted on the social media platform X, Ranaut alleged that the protests against the three controversial agricultural laws were marked by egregious incidents, including the hanging of corpses and sexual violence.

BJP's Clarification

In response to Ranaut's statements, the BJP has sought to distance itself from her remarks. The party has issued a statement clarifying that Ranaut's comments do not align with its official stance. The BJP has explicitly stated its disagreement with her views, emphasizing that Kangana Ranaut is neither authorized nor permitted to speak on policy matters on behalf of the party.
