Kangana Ranaut’s Shocking Allegations on Farmers’ Protests Prompt BJP Backlash

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has issued a formal response to the contentious comments made by Kangana Ranaut, the Member of Parliament from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, regarding the recent farmers' protests. The party has expressed clear disapproval of Ranaut's remarks and has instructed her to avoid making similar statements in the future.

Kangana Ranaut's remarks have stirred controversy with her provocative assertion that a weaker leadership could have resulted in the farmers' protests escalating into a situation comparable to Bangladesh. In a video posted on the social media platform X, Ranaut alleged that the protests against the three controversial agricultural laws were marked by egregious incidents, including the hanging of corpses and sexual violence.

BJP's Clarification

In response to Ranaut's statements, the BJP has sought to distance itself from her remarks. The party has issued a statement clarifying that Ranaut's comments do not align with its official stance. The BJP has explicitly stated its disagreement with her views, emphasizing that Kangana Ranaut is neither authorized nor permitted to speak on policy matters on behalf of the party.

Furthermore, the BJP has directed Ranaut to refrain from making such statements in the future. The party has reiterated its commitment to the principles of 'sabka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas aur sabka prayas' a commitment to collective progress, social harmony, and inclusive development.

Kangana Ranaut’s Controversial Remarks

In her video, Ranaut made a dramatic comparison, suggesting that India's situation during the farmers' protests could have deteriorated to resemble that of Bangladesh if not for the strong leadership. She claimed that the protests witnessed severe violence and misconduct, including reports of rape and the display of bodies. Ranaut's remarks also pointed to the central government's decision to withdraw the agricultural laws, which she described as a result of meticulous planning by the protesters, leaving the government in a state of shock.
