In that discussion, she candidly expressed her reservations about traditional weddings, stating, "At times, I am captivated by the allure of weddings—the delicious food, the sindoor, the gifts, and the functions. It feels like a childish fantasy. But in reality, I've witnessed many fall apart."
During the same interview, Sobhita hinted at her preference for a more understated approach to marriage. She suggested that her wedding might eschew grandiosity in favour of simplicity, potentially involving a modest cotton saree and a visit to the registrar’s office for a low-key ceremony.
As for the timeline of their union, Nagarjuna has provided some clarity. In a recent interview with Times Now, he elucidated that the wedding is not imminent. He explained, "The wedding won't happen immediately. We rushed the engagement because it was an auspicious day, and since both Chaitanya and Sobhita are certain about their decision to marry, we thought, why not go ahead?" This statement indicates that while the engagement has been formalised, the couple’s nuptials will follow at a later date.
Nagarjuna also shared insights into the couple's relationship, revealing that Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita first crossed paths two years ago. Despite this relatively brief period, Nagarjuna has known Sobhita for six years and commended her as a well-informed and intelligent individual.
