Singham Again: Deepika Padukone Unveils Her Fiery Role 'Shakti Shetty' from Rohit Shetty's Copverse
Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for is here! Deepika Padukone has just given us a glimpse of her upcoming movie, 'Singham Again,' directed by Rohit Shetty. And let us tell you, it's a real visual treat.

On October 15, Deepika Padukone surprised her fans by sharing the first poster from the movie. In the poster, Deepika appears as a tough police officer, holding a gun, and dressed in a police uniform. Her fierce expression and a hint of blood on her forehead and shoulder add to the intensity of the character. Rohit Shetty, the director, described her character as, "Naari sita ka bhi roop hai aur durga ka bhi… Meet the most brutal and violent officer of our cop universe… Shakti Shetty… My lady Singham… Deepika Padukone."
Ranveer Singh, was quick to react and showed his support by liking the poster. He even shared the images on his own account, exclaiming, "AALI RE AALI…LADY SINGHAM AALI !!!!! SHAKTI SHETTY has arrived in the Cop-verse !!!!!"
Reports suggest that Deepika Padukone is excited to be a part of Rohit Shetty's "Singham Again." She is set to play the first female cop in the Rohit Shetty Universe and is already preparing for this action-packed role. Her character is akin to a Lady Singham and has a connection with Ajay Devgn's character as his sister in the film.
But Deepika isn't the only leading lady in the film; Kareena Kapoor will also be sharing the screen. A few weeks ago, Kareena started shooting for the action-packed film and gave fans a sneak peek behind the scenes. In a picture with a blue tint, she is seen with her back to the camera, standing next to an overturned car.
"Singham Again" is the fifth installment of the successful Singham franchise. It all began with "Singham" in 2011, featuring Ajay Devgn, Prakash Raj, and Kajal Aggarwal. This was followed by "Singham Returns" in 2014, starring Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor. In 2018, "Simmba" introduced Ranveer Singh to the franchise, and in 2021, "Sooryavanshi" featured Akshay Kumar in the cop universe. All four films were massive hits at the box office, and fans are eagerly anticipating the next action-packed installment.
