Vindu Dara Singh and Sonia Maan pens a heartfelt note on Dara Singh's 9th death anniversary!
On the 9th anniversary of his father's death, Vindu Dara Singh remembers his great sportsmen father Dara Singh. He took to his social media accounts to share an old black-and-white photo of his late father, Dara Singh.
Many other celebrities of the Punjabi entertainment industry also remembered Dara Singh.

Sonia Maan took to her Instagram handle to share an old picture of Dara Singh and along with it wrote a heartfelt note. The caption read as, "Dear Dara uncle , it’s been 9 years since you left us . I have never met a humble and great person like you in my life . After achieving more than most humans can even imagine you have remained down to earth and kind . You have always been a person who is in touch with his roots and I am sure you would have been leading us in the farmer protest if you were among us . You will always be in our guiding force and inspiration. I can never forget what you and Surjit aunty have done for me in my life. Even after you left us your son Amrik has been my support system . You guys have done what no family member could have ever done for me . You will be loved and missed forever."

Dara Singh was a professional wrestler who made the transition to acting in 1952. Later in life, he entered politics and served in the Rajya Sabha. His popularity stemmed from his portrayal of Hanuman in Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan.
