Chargesheet Filed Against YouTuber Elvish Yadav in Snake Venom Case; Here's What You Need to Know

In recent developments, Noida Police has taken legal action against prominent YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner, Elvish Yadav, along with seven others. The charges against them range from snake smuggling to hosting rave parties, according to the reports.

Noida Police Files Chargesheet Against Elvish Yadav

The extensive 1200-page chargesheet revealed that Elvish Yadav allegedly had connections with snake charmers. Moreover, during the investigation, authorities discovered a poisonous snake along with 20 ml of venom from the Krait species at the site, as confirmed by DCP Noida.

Elvish Yadav's Controversy

This legal saga began last year when the People For Animals (PFA) organization lodged a complaint against six individuals, including Elvish Yadav, for purportedly supplying snake venom for recreational purposes at a rave party in Noida. Subsequently, the case was transferred from Noida's Sector 49 police station to Sector 20 police station on the orders of Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh.

Elvish Yadav was apprehended by the police on March 17, alongside five others, and was charged under the Wildlife (Protection) Act and Section 120A (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. Despite the arrest, Elvish was granted bail by the Gautam Buddha Nagar District Court five days later.

Further complicating matters, two additional suspects, identified as Ishwar and Vinay, both residents of Haryana and reportedly acquainted with Elvish, were arrested in connection with the case.

Snake Venom Case

This isn't the first time Elvish Yadav has faced accusations regarding rave parties involving venomous snakes. Last year, based on a similar complaint by the PFA, Noida Police raided a banquet hall in Sector 51 and detained five individuals. The PFA alleged that Elvish organized these events, inviting foreigners and arranging for poisonous snakes to be present.

It's important to note that the removal of venom glands from snakes is considered a severe offense under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, carrying a potential seven-year prison sentence for offenders.
