On the morning of April 27th, Delhi Metro commuters faced difficulties as trains on the Yellow Line were running late due to technical issues. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) promptly released a statement informing passengers of the delay. The delay caused overcrowding on the trains, leading to chaos at Kashmiri Gate station, where the metro had to be vacated.

The technical issues on the Yellow Line had a domino effect on other lines as well. Commuters traveling on the Violet Line also experienced delays. Despite the disruption, passengers traveling on other lines breathed a sigh of relief as the trains on those routes were functioning normally.

However, the inconvenience caused to commuters did not go unnoticed. Passengers quickly took to social media platforms to express their frustration and share their experiences. Twitter was flooded with messages from people complaining about the delays and the chaos at stations.

One Twitter user, while sharing a funny meme, wrote, "Delhi people in #delhimetro, Today," indicating the exasperation felt by commuters. The meme showed a picture of a crowded metro train with the caption, "The only way to beat the overcrowding on the Delhi metro is to bring your own sofa."

Another commuter tweeted an update to the office-goers community in the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR), stating, "Update on Dmrc yellow line.. #dmrc not running between Samaypur Badli and central secretary due to technical issues.  #delhimetro."

The DMRC, in response to the inconvenience caused to commuters, apologized for the delay and assured passengers that they were doing everything possible to resolve the issue. They also urged commuters to plan their journey accordingly.

The incident once again highlights the importance of maintaining and upgrading the city's infrastructure, especially its public transportation system. Despite the disruption caused by the technical glitch, Delhi Metro remains one of the most reliable modes of public transportation in the city.
