'I wake up with pins and needles in my eyes' says Samantha Ruth Prabhu as she deals with myositis

Samantha Ruth Prabhu opens of dealing with myositis: Indian actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has recently shared about how she is dealing with myositis condition. The actor has been vocal about her battle with the autoimmune disease myositis. She has constantly updated her fans on her health, from sharing her diagnosis on social media to detailing her rehabilitation and fitness journey.

She said in a recent interview when asked about receiving a myositis diagnosis, "That was a final bursting of chains. You are constantly expected to exhibit perfection as an actor, both in your films and on Instagram. She previously struggled with never letting it go and just accepting herself. She's always aimed to get better and better—both inside and out. She has finally reached the point when she can do nothing to control this predicament.

Furthermore disclosed by the Super Deluxe actress was her sensitivity to light, which led to the beginning of her spectacles wear. I wake up every day with pins and needles in my eyes because as an actor, your eyes are a means to portray emotions. I react badly to light. My eyes are affected by light, therefore I don't just wear glasses for fashion or enjoyment. I've had severe migraines for the past eight months, and during those eight months, my eyes swelled from the discomfort. I think this is the worst thing that has ever happened to an actress," Samantha stated.

Samantha, meantime, is eagerly anticipating the premiere of her movie Shaakuntalam. It is anticipated to premiere on April 14. Moreover, she has begun filming for Raj and DK's Telugu drama Kushi, which also stars Vijay Deverakonda and is the India edition of Citadel.
