IPL 2023: Massive Fight Between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir in LSG vs RCB Match, Watch Viral Video

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken swift action after a heated argument between Delhi Boys Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir during a match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Both Kohli and Gambhir, as well as Naveen ul haq , who were involved in the argument, have been fined by the Cricket board.

King Kohli and LSG Coach Gautam have been fined 100% of the match fee, while Naveen has been fined 50%. During the RCB vs LSG clash, the two ex teammates clashed with each other, resulting in players from both teams coming forward to settle the matter. In the end, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 18 runs in their home ground.

The main reason behind the scuffle seems to be Kohli's gesture towards the RCB logo after taking Krunal Pandya's catch, indirectly taunting the crowd. Earlier in the same season, Gambhir had made a similar gesture towards the crowd by keeping his fingers on his lips. It appears that Kohli was attempting to give a fitting reply to LSG and Gambhir.

After winning the toss, RCB decided to bat first in order to score big and put pressure on LSG batsmen later in the second innings. However, things did not go as planned, and RCB was bowled out for 126 runs in 20 overs. Chasing a small target, LSG lost four quick wickets and came under pressure.

The main scuffle started in the 17th over of the LSG innings when King Kohli got into a heated argument with Amit Mishra and Navin-ul-Haq. After Bangalore won the match, Navin and Kohli were angry when they bumped into each other while shaking hands. The scuffle escalated when Gambhir and Kohli came face to face, and there was a long argument with aggressive body language. A video of the altercation is getting viral on social media.

In response to the incident, the BCCI has imposed strict fines on the players involved.
