Oops! Arijit Singh Fails To Recognise Mahira Khan at Concert, Makes Up with Heartfelt Apology
Bollywood singer Arijit Singh recently melted hearts at a concert in Dubai when he accidentally overlooked Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in the audience. Singh was performing the song "Zaalima" from the movie "Raees" when the incident occurred.
In a recent concert in Duabia, Arijit Singh was performing his famous song 'Zaalima', however, little did he know that Mahira Khan who featured in the song was also present at the same concert.
Despite the song being sung, Arijit Singh failed to recognize her seated in the front row. In a video circulating on social media, Singh can be heard expressing his surprise and apology on stage.
He said, "You guys must be surprised, should I reveal. I should reveal in a very nice way. Can we have the camera there? I have been trying to recognize this person, then remembered I have sung for her. Ladies and gentlemen, Mahira Khan sitting right in front of me. Think about it, I was singing her song 'Zaalima,' and it's her song, and she was singing and standing, and I couldn't recognize her. I am so sorry. Ma'am gratitude and thank you so much.โ
Mahira Khan graciously responded to Singh's apology with a shout of "Itโs okay" from the crowd and waved at the audience. She looked stunning in a black outfit as she acknowledged the sweet gesture.
Taking to Instagram, Mahira Khan praised Arijit Singh for his humility and talent. She wrote, "I wasnโt meant to be here for this.. but.. I guess I was. You know what I mean? What a pleasure it is to watch an artist perform.. whirling in joy, surrounded by love. But more than that, itโs beautiful when you see humility in an artist.. because he knows, it isnโt him.. heโs just been blessed from up above. Stay blessed @arijitsingh Wah!โ
