Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and 3 Cricket Stars Under Legal Radar
In a recent turn of events, prominent figures from Bollywood and the cricketing world have found themselves in the legal crosshairs due to their involvement in endorsing gutka, a form of chewing tobacco. Lawyer Motilal Yadav, representing the Lucknow High Court, has served notices to Bollywood celebrities Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, Salman Khan, and former cricketers Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar, and Virender Sehwag.
This legal action comes on the heels of similar notices sent earlier to actors Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar, following a petition filed by Motilal Yadav. The directives for these notices stemmed from both the Central Government and the Lucknow High Court.
Motilal Yadav's notices underscore a clear mandate for these individuals to terminate their promotional agreements with gutka companies within a stipulated timeframe of 15 days. Failure to comply with this directive would lead to Yadav adding their names to an existing court case for contempt or initiating a fresh Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against them.

The issue of celebrities endorsing products that are potentially harmful to public health has long been a subject of debate and concern. Gutka, a form of chewable tobacco, has been linked to various health hazards, including oral cancer and other detrimental effects on the human body.
Yadav's legal action underscores the accountability of public figures and their responsibility towards society, especially concerning endorsements that might influence public behavior and health choices. These legal notices not only emphasize the legal ramifications but also highlight the ethical considerations surrounding celebrity endorsements and their impact on public well-being.
