YouTuber Elvish Yadav Faces Money Laundering Charges in Snake Venom Case

Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT and a well-known YouTuber, is in legal trouble as a money laundering case has been filed against him. This comes in connection with allegations of using snake venom at his parties, leading to an investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Elvish Yadav in Money Laundering Case

The case stems from an earlier FIR and charge sheet filed by the Noida police against Elvish Yadav and others involved in the snake venom incident. The ED will now delve into the financial transactions related to the supply of snake venom at various upscale locations in Delhi-NCR, including hotels, clubs, resorts, and farmhouses.

Elvish Yadav is expected to face questioning by the Enforcement Directorate soon. This development follows a series of legal actions initiated against him since November last year when the PFA organization filed a complaint against six individuals, including Elvish, for allegedly supplying snake venom at a rave party in Noida.

Elvish Yadav Controversy

Initially, Elvish and five others were arrested under wildlife protection laws and criminal conspiracy charges. However, he was later granted bail by the Gautam Buddha Nagar District Court. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of two more suspects, identified as Ishwar and Vinay.

On April 6, the Noida police filed a hefty 1200-page chargesheet against Elvish Yadav and seven others, accusing them of various offences related to snake smuggling and organizing rave parties. The chargesheet detailed Elvish's alleged association with snake charmers and the recovery of a poisonous snake along with 20 millilitres of venom during the investigation.

Elvish Yadav faces accusations of using snake venom as a recreational drug at the parties he allegedly hosted. The 26-year-old YouTuber has been booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, Wildlife Protection Act, and the Indian Penal Code (IPC) by the Noida police.

The incident came to light when snake charmers were apprehended from a banquet hall in Noida, where they were found in possession of five cobras and four other venomous snake species, along with vials containing 20 ml of snake venom.
