Wamiqa Gabbi shares first look of her next women-led Netflix film 'Mai'

Wamiqa Gabbi has managed to create a huge fan base in Hollywood as well as Bollywood. The actress who is known for her spectacular performance in the Netflix show 'Grahan' is all set to once again astonish her fans with a new Netflix Originals titled 'Mai'.

The announcement of the same was made by the actress as well as by the official social media account of Netflix India on the occasion of International Women's Day 2022.

Along with Wamiqa Gabbi, the film includes Sakshi Tanwar and Raima Sen in key roles. While sharing the first look of the three versatile actors, Wamiqa Gabbi wrote, "Happy Women’s Day from @netflix_in family ♥️

Sundar, but not so su-Sheel. Mai tells a powerful tale of how far a mother will go to keep the ones she loves safe. Thrilled to be giving you a glimpse of this today! #Mai arrives soon, only on Netflix! #HerKahaniHaiZaruri"

The film Main revolves around the life of Sheel played by Sakshi Tanwar, a responsible wife and mother, unintentionally becomes involved in a network of white-collar crime and corrupt politics, throwing her into a rabbit hole of violence that irreversibly changes her and the world she lives in.

Vivek Mushran, Prashant Narayanan, Seema Pahwa, and others appear as supporting characters in the series. Atul Mongia, who also directed episodes with Anshai Lal, is the writer. The series was co-written by Mongia, Amita Vyas, and Tamal Kumar Sen.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Wamiqa Gabbi will also share the screen space with Ammy Virk in their upcoming Punjabi movie ArjanTina which will be released on April 7th, 2023.
