When Priyanka Chopra revealed she earned 10% of the male co-stars salary

Priyanka Chopra news: Priyanka Chopra is one of the renowned actresses in Bollywood as well as in International cinemas. She is one of the only four Indians to make it to the list of BBC's '100 Women' this year. 'Desi Girl' is also one of the highest-paid actresses and has received many awards.

The actor recently revealed that she never received an equal paycheck as the male co-actors in her early days in Bollywood.

She stated that she would receive only 10% of the actor's salary at that time and even today there are still some female actors who are dealing with the same problem.

Further, she mentioned that the treatment she would get on sets was pathetic and at that time she thought it was the only way a newcomer is treated.

Priyanka unveiled that during her early days she thought it was like a tradition for female actors to wait on the sets till the male actors arrived.

In addition to this, the 'Desi Girl' said that things are just different in Hollywood in terms of the work culture. Every individual is treated equally and with the utmost respect.

On the professional front, Priyanka will be seen in the Hollywood seriesĀ  'Citadel' which will hit the OTT platform on Prime Video. She will also be seen in the international project 'Love Again' with Sam Heughan.

Meanwhile, she will be seen in Farhan Akhtar's 'Jee Le Zaraa' which promises to be another tale of friendship between Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif. 'Jee Le Zaraa' is reportedly going on floors soon and will be ready for release in 2023.
