Gauravzone, a YouTuber who once made his dog fly, has been arrested for allegedly filming a video inside Nidhivan Raj, an important religious site in Uttar Pradesh's Vrindavan.
Police arrested the YouTuber Gauravzone on Sunday for allegedly filming a video inside "Nidhivan Raj" - an important religious site restricted for filming in Uttar Pradesh's Vrindavan at night - a week ago, officials said.
It is worth noting that filming at Nidhivan Raj in Uttar Pradesh's Vrindavan is prohibited at night.
According to legend, Nidhivan Raj is the holy site where Radha and Lord Krishna performed 'raas lila' at night. As a result, no one is permitted to enter the location at that time.
Sharma was taken into judicial custody, according to a police official. In the meantime, efforts are being made to apprehend his associates.
On November 9, Sharma uploaded the video to YouTube. He had to delete it, however, after priests objected to filming inside the "holy" place.
According to officials, a case was filed in Vrindavan police station under sections 295A of the IPC and 66 of the IT Act in response to a complaint filed by Nidhivan Raj priest Rohit Goshwami.
During the questioning, the Youtuber admitted to filming the video at the "holy" location on November 6th. According to the police, he was accompanied by his cousin Prashant, as well as his friends Mohit and Abhishek.
Gaurav posted the video to YouTube on November 9, but it was later removed after priests objected to filming inside the "holy" place.
Who is Gaurav Sharma?
Gaurav Sharma had completed his BTech in Mechanical Engineering but had never considered starting a YouTube channel until one of his videos (Chandni Chowk Chor Bazaar VLog) went viral. Since then, he has been creating VLogs about his daily life and activities.
Why Gauravzone was arrested?
His mother and his pet dog Dollar were featured in the infamous YouTuber's video. Gauravzone is seen in the video tying helium balloons to the dog's upper body in an attempt to make him float. More balloons are tied to the dog later in the video, and the dog begins to float. Gaurav and his mother can be seen clarifying and cheering.
The video was reported for animal cruelty, and the Youtuber and his mother were arrested in Malviya Nagar police station in south Delhi. Gauravzone has now removed the video.
Gauravzone and his mother were charged under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code, the Disaster Management Act, and Sections 11(1)(A) and 11(1)(D) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
