On February 18, the film made its global debut at the Berlin International Film Festival.
Not only that but on the day of the film's release, Alia Bhatt was featured on Instagram's page, which has over 475 million followers, to promote the film. Gangubai Kathiawadi became the first Indian film to be marketed on a global scale as a result of this. Alia is shown going from her yoga mat to the red carpet in a reel published on Instagram.
