Akshay Kumar becomes 'highest taxpayer' in India, gets honoured by Income Tax department
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who is one of the top-paid celebrities, has been reportedly honoured by the Income Tax department as the 'highest taxpayer' in India.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar's honorary certificate from the Income Tax Department has been making rounds on social media. However, there has been no official confirmation from Akshay Kumar so far.

In the meanwhile, the news has delighted the fans of Akshay Kumar. The 'samman patra' is going viral on social media with people wondering if it is true or not. A social media user tweeted, "According to haters, some journalists, fans of other actors he is not a Global superstar, he don't have HGOTY, not much BB, he is Canadian and many more things but still he is paying highest income tax than rest of the industry from last 5 years. My superstar."

Another user wrote, "Income Tax Department has felicitated Superstar @akshaykumar with a Samman Patra and termed him highest taxpayer from the Hindi film industry. Haters must see this before calling him Canadian."
On the work front, Akshay Kumar will be seen along with Bhumi Pednekar in his upcoming film 'Raksha Bandhan'. Directed by Aanand L Rai and written by Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon, the film is scheduled to release on August 11.

Likewise, Akshay Kumar is also a part of 'Selfiee', which is slated to release on February 24, 2023. The upcoming comedy-drama will also feature Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha in lead roles.
Notably, 'Selfiee' is an official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film 'Driving License', which featured Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in pivotal roles.
