Akshay Kumar Shows His Big Heart Again, Donates Rs 2 Crore For Flood Affected Assam

Currently the situation in Assam is alarming, due to the floods that have claimed more than 15 lives, and displaced millions in Bihar, Assam and other north-eastern states. While the state is in a desperate need of help, the Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar has already lent his helping hand.

Akshay has donated Rs. 1 Crore each to the Assam CM’s Relief Fund and for the rescue of Kaziranga National Park. The actor took down to his official Twitter handle to announce it, and request his followers to do their bit.

Recently, Akshay was ranked number 33 on Forbes Highest Paid Celebrity list, and he was the only Indian actor to grab a spot in that list.

However, the actor has previously also helped the people of the country at the time of need. He donated Rs 1 Crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for the Odisha cyclone victims this May. Besides, he has also contributed to the popular Bharat Ke Veer foundation as well when the nation was donating for Pulwama attack victims.

On the workfront, Akshay is ready with his upcoming film ‘Mission Mangal’ to release on August 15. The film is based on a true story of India’s mission to Mars.
