Akshay Kumar To Donate Rs 5 Crore To Pulwama Martyrs' Kin
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is set to join the list of celebrities who have donated to the families of Pulwama martyrs. According to the media reports, the ‘Khiladi’ actor will be donating Rs 5 crore to martyr’s kin.
According to Hindustan Times report, Akshay Kumar has vowed to donate Rs 5 crore through Bharat Ke Veer — a fundraising initiative of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. The actor took to his official Twitter handle to urges his fans and followers to donate generously.
Akshay wrote: “#Pulwama is something we cannot & will not forget.We’re all angry & it’s time to act. So act now, donate to the martyrs of Pulwama on bharatkeveer.gov.in. There’s no better way to pay homage to them & show your support.This is the only official site, pls don’t fall prey to fakes.”

— Akshay Kumar (@akshaykumar) February 16, 2019Earlier, actor Amitabh Bachchan, Punjabi stars Ammy Virk, Ranjit Bawa, Sargun Mehta, Ravi Dubey, Badshah and Diljit Dosanjh among others have come forward to extend help by donating to the families of soldiers died in Pulwama terror attack.
Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly donated Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the soldiers. While, Badshah, Diljit, and Sargun donated Rs 3 lakh each.
Ammy Virk, Ranjit Bawa donated Rs 2.5 lakh each to the families of Punjab soldiers died in the attack.
