Akshay Kumar's Kesari Emerges Biggest Opener Of 2019, Earns Rs 21.50 Cr On Day 1

After giving super hit movies in 2018, Akshay Kumar has kick started this year with 'Kesari'. The movie has not just taken a huge start at the box office, but has also became the biggest opener of 2019 so far with a collection of Rs. 21.50 Crore on Day 1.

'Kesari' has set the box office on fire with its terrific opening. Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starring, 'Kesari' beats the first day collection of 'Gully Boy' and 'Total Dhamaal'.

Film analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the day 1 gross collection nationwide of the movies:

The movie is Akshay Kumar's second best opener after 'Gold' which released on Independence day in 2018. 'Gold' Collected a whooping amount of 25.25 Crore on Day 1.

'Kesari' is a story about 21 Sikhs fighting against 10,000 Afghans in the heroic battle of Saragarhi in the year 1897. The movie revolves around how those 21 Sikh soldiers fought with pride and courage. Akshay Kumar steels the show with his Sikh patriotic side in the movie.

This emotional action movie is running successfully with 4 star rating at theatres.
