Akshay’s Kesari Needs Rs 7 Crore More To Enter Rs 100 Cr Club

Akashay Kumar’s ‘Kesari’ has witnessed a dip in its collections. On the sixth day of its release, the film earned Rs 7.17 crore as compared to Rs 21.06 crore on Day 1 of its release. Based on the historic Battle of Saragarhi in 1897, ‘Kesari’ was released on March 21.

Film critic and Taran Adarsh took to his official Twitter handle to share the film’s collections. He wrote: #Kesari slows on Tue... North circuits continue to score and contribute to the total... Should cross ₹ 100 cr today/tomorrow... Thu 21.06 cr, Fri 16.75 cr, Sat 18.75 cr, Sun 21.51 cr, Mon 8.25 cr, Tue 7.17 cr. Total: ₹ 93.49 cr. India biz.

Directed by Anurag Singh, the film is expected to enter Rs 100 crore by today or tomorrow.

This would be Akshay’s ninth hit in a row after Gold (Rs102.10 crore), Pad Man (Rs 78.22 crore), Toilet Ek Prem Katha (Rs132.07 crore), Jolly LLB 2 (Rs 117 crore), Rustom (Rs 127.49 crore), Housefull 3 (Rs109.14 crore), Airlift ( ₹128.1 crore) and Singh Is Bliing ( ₹89.95 crore).
