Amitabh Bachchan, 77, had survived a near-fatal accident on the sets of Manmohan Desai's Coolie in 1982. He has lived with a compromised liver since then on account of discipline. He works out regularly and follows a strict dietary regime.

Big B was last seen in Shoojit Sircar’s comedy-drama Gulabo Sitabo alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. The film was initially going to be released in theatres, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
