Ammy Virk’s ‘Harjeeta’ Wins National Award, Jagdeep Sidhu Shares Emotional Message

Ammy Virk starrer ‘Harjeeta’ has made the whole Punjabi film industry proud by winning the award for the best Punjabi film at 66th National Film Awards 2019. The film is a sports drama, inspired from true stories.

The film is awarded with the Best Punjabi film today on August 9 at the occasion of 66th National Film Awards.

Meanwhile, the writer of the film, Jagdeep Sidhu, has posted a heartfelt picture on his Instagram. He shared a fond memory of a conversation with Ammy Virk. Jagdeep wrote: “18 May 2018 Oss raat neend ni aayi c te pata c bhara @ammyvirk v suta ni hona so i message him ... bhut jayada mehnat kiti c .. te dukh bhut wada c .. par finally.. won our first National Award ? for HARJEETA .. ???”

‘Harjeeta’ is the biopic of Harjeet Singh, a well-known hockey player who has got Gold Medal in the hockey world cup for India. Ammy Virk played the role of Harjeet Singh in this film ‘Harjeeta’. Released on May 18, the film was well appraised by the audience.
