There is no argument about how Sikhs have made the nation proud with their talent. Whether it is about helping the destitute or doing something for the pride of their culture, they are always ahead of everyone.

Karenjeet Kaur Bains is one of those Sikhs, who is going to be the first Sikh woman to compete at Classic Powerlifting Championships for gold.

She will be heading to the world Classic Powerlifting Championship in Sweden in June to represent Great Britain. The 22-years-old is going to be the first Sikh woman to compete for Britain.

Karenjeet says to BBC, ‘I am very proud of my heritage and my culture and my roots. I also would love to try and open floodgates up to having even more diverse people on the platform.’

‘I know I am the first one, but I don’t want to be the last for sure’, she adds.
