'The Accidental Prime Minister' has been making news ever since the release of the poster of the movie. Based on Sanjaya Baru's similarly titled book, it is a political memoir on former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Lead role played by actor Anupam Kher, the movie is set to release this Friday.

Anupam Kher has shared a 20 second lapse video on his official Instagram account, of his makeover as Dr. Manmohan Singh. The actor has shared it with a caption, thanking his wardrobe and makeup team :

Recently a plea is filed by Mahajan, saying that the trailer violated Section 416 as impersonation of a living person. However, Delhi High Court has refused the plea to ban 'The Accidental Prime Minister' trailer, and said that it should be refiled as PIL for public suit.
