Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 has saved one of its biggest surprises for the audience after the end credits. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, introduces Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman in a special post-credit sequence, accompanied by a powerful new rendition of the Hanuman Chalisa. Adding a soulful yet energetic touch to this important moment is Diljit Dosanjh, who lends his voice to the devotional track alongside some of India's finest singers.

The musical ensemble also features Sukhwinder Singh, Mohit Chauhan, Kailash Kher, Anirudh Ravichander and Shankar Mahadevan. Together, their voices create an atmosphere of devotion, strength and anticipation, making Hanuman's arrival a memorable cinematic moment.

Sunny Deol’s Hanuman Makes a Striking First Appearance

Rather than revealing Sunny Deol's complete look early in the film, the makers have chosen to build curiosity around his character. His appearance comes towards the end, with the sequence initially keeping his face hidden. The visual gradually builds as a powerful silhouette of Hanuman appears, flying through the air with his gada (mace) while chanting 'Jai Shri Ram'.

The scene offers just enough of Sunny Deol's portrayal to excite audiences without revealing too much. Known for his commanding screen presence and powerful voice, Sunny brings an interesting casting choice to the iconic role. His introduction also signals the importance Hanuman will have in the next chapter of the epic.

Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana Sets Up Hanuman’s Important Journey

The arrival of Hanuman becomes particularly significant considering where the first part ends. Ranbir Kapoor's Lord Rama faces a heartbreaking moment when Ravana, played by Yash, abducts Sita, portrayed by Sai Pallavi, from Panchavati. Jatayu fights bravely against Ravana but ultimately loses his life.

Before taking his final breath, Jatayu informs Rama about Sita's abduction. Rama then vows to find her, setting the stage for the events that will unfold in the sequel. This is where Hanuman's role becomes crucial, as he will help Rama locate Sita in Lanka and support him in the battle against Ravana.

Ramayana Part 2 Moves to 2028

While audiences were initially expecting the second instalment around Diwali 2027, the release has reportedly been pushed to 2028, with the extensive visual effects work taking longer than anticipated.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana features a star-studded cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravie Dubey and Sunny Deol.

With Diljit Dosanjh's devotional voice and Sunny Deol's much-awaited introduction, the first part leaves audiences with a memorable promise. Hanuman's journey is about to begin, and his arrival hints at the emotional and spectacular scale that Ramayana: Part 2 could bring to the big screen.
