Tibetan spiritual leader the 14th Dalai Lama was formally presented with the prestigious Grammy Award at his residence in Dharamshala on June 3, 2026, in a ceremony that brought together spirituality, music and cultural harmony. The award was handed over by internationally acclaimed sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, who was accompanied by his sons, Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash. Renowned music producer and author Kabir Sehgal was also present during the special occasion.

The Grammy was awarded in the category of Best Audio Book, Narration & Storytelling Recording for the album Meditations: The Reflections of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
