Kiran Rao opens up about breaking the divorce news to her and Amir Khan's son Azad Rao! Here's how both dealt
Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan are no longer together and they got separated recently parting in their own lives. But the ex-couple often seen spending quality time with their son Azad Rao. Recently, Kiran Rao talked about the time when they were getting separated and how their son was affected.
Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao got married in 2005 and ever since stayed tigether but recently, the Bollywood star couple got separated and filed a divorce on mutual understandings. But the separation did not stop the stars from spending quality time together as both of them has currently collaborated in the Bollywood comedy drama 'Laapataa Ladies' and indeed basked wonders. They also have a son named Azad Rao and often times seen spending time with him. But the young children always used to suffer from a mental breakdown with such delicate divorce cases and referring about the same, the Laapataa ladies director opened up about their son Azad, how it affected him and the way both the parents have dealt with it.
Kiran Rao opens up about her son's reaction on their divorce
During a recent interview, Producer Kiran Rao openend up about her separation with the PK actor Aamir Khan. But while speaking, she has most importantly paved light on dealing with their son, Azad Rao about their separating situation. In-fact, According to her, she and Aamir were very conscious about everything and as eventually the things became public in Azad's school too. She said, "We got lucky also as we did it during the lockdown and we were very much together when we had this conversation and so it wasn’t like oh we are rushing off to school, or we are rushing off to work and discussing at night. It gave us that time to be private about it and also gave us the time to do it together. So, we kind of held each other’s hands through this process. I’m grateful for that break which COVID gave us for this one reason."
Kiran Rao talks about Family Moments with Azad Rao
Proceeding futher, the director/producer talks about her ways of spending time with her son. Mostly she insists him to go for movies, but as per Kiran, he doesn't like watching mainstream films or anything like that, rather it's 'anime and other stuff', she revealed. She even recalled the moments when Kiran and Azad spends with Aamir, "When we get together, often it's sports. It’s like playing pickleball or going for a swim. Spending time with his grandparents is what we do together. Boardgames, that is what we do a lot as a family" she quips.
