Chhapaak Trailer Out: Deepika Padukone Gets Emotional At Trailer Launch

After much anticipation, the trailer of Deepika Padukone starrer film ‘Chhapaak’ is finally out! The trailer launch was held in Mumbai, as it was released today on December 10, World Human Rights Day.

Deepika, who essays the role of the protagonist (Malti) in the film, takes inspiration from the story of this real-life acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. The trailer revolves around the struggles of Malti, and her fight for justice.

While the audience gets emotional after watching the trailer of the film, Deepika broke down into tears during the trailer launch.

Deepika, on the other hand, has shared multiple posters of the film on her Instagram. She wrote: “Rarely do you come across a story where you do not need an entire narration to decide if you want to be a part of a film or not.What is even more rare is to not be able to articulate and put into words what you feel for the film and it’s journey...

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film co-stars Vikrant Massey in a lead role and is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
