‘Unemployment Forcing Youngsters In Punjab To Move Abroad’, Says Diljit Dosanjh

Diljit Dosanjh needs no introduction. After making his mark in the Punjabi industry, Diljit is one of the only few actors who has successfully represented Sikh community in the mainstream Hindi cinema.

The actor is currently busy in promoting his upcoming Punjabi film 'Shadaa', which also stars Neeru Bajwa in the lead. In the film, Diljit is portraying a character of a wedding photographer who has crossed a marriageable age.

While talking to leading News Agency IANS, Diljit said the film is a reflection of society and the lifestyle of youngsters today.

During an interaction, when IANS reporter asked Diljit: "Why does a majority of youth in Punjabi desire to settle down abroad?"

To this, the actor replied: "the answer lies in unemployment".

"That is why they are moving out of Punjab to Canada, Australia and various places in Europe. Who wants to leave their family and go... It is only the job opportunity that is taking them away... Yes, it is a real issue," Diljit said.

Meanwhile, the trailer of the film ‘Shadaa’ has been getting positive reviews from the movie lovers. Released on May 21 at 10 am, the over 3 minute trailer is so intriguing that it will leave you wanting for more.

Written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, the film also features Jagjeet Sandhu, Hardeep Gill, Anita Devgan, Gurpreet Bhangu, Prince Kanwaljit, Anita Meet, Ravinder Mand and Manveer Rai among others.

The film is releasing on June 21.
