EXCLUSIVE: Mandy Takhar Supports #MeToo Movement, Says It Will Bring Change In The System
Pollywood actress Mandy Takhar, known for her roles in films like ‘Mirza – The Untold Story’, ‘Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22’, ‘Munde Kamaal De’ and ‘Khido Khundi’ among others, has extended her support to the ongoing #MeToo movement in the country.
While talking exclusively to PTC Punjabi, Mandy said that it is a good movement and it will surely bring some change in the system.
“I think it’s a great movement because finally women are speaking up about the things which affected them. After this, the affected women will feel better and less of bitter about the incident happened with them,” Many said while talking to PTC.
“I hope after this the thing will change,” she added.

Asked about if she has faced any such misbehaviour in Punjabi cinema, she replied: ‘I haven’t faced such situation and I don’t want to face it either.”

#MeToo movement gained momentum after former beauty queen Tanushree Dutta made sexual harassment allegations against actor Nana Pateker. She alleged that Nana harassed her while shooting for the film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’ in 2008.
Nana, on the other hand, has denied the accusation.
Besides Nana, many celebrities like Anu Malik, Alok Nath and Sajid Khan among others faced the #MeToo allegations.
