‘Films Like Kesari Swells Up My Chest With Immense Pride,’ Says Akshay Kumar

The shooting for the upcoming Karan Johar's production ‘Kesari’ has come to an end. Announcing the wrap of the film's shoot, Akshay Kumar shared a photograph from the sets of the film on his official social media handle.

Directed by Anurag Singh, film ‘Kesari’ also stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead and the film is said to be based on the Battle of Saragarhi of 1897.

Akshay, who is playing the role of military commander of 21 Sikh soldiers named Havaldar Ishar Singh who fought against thousands of Afghani invaders, shared a picture of himself wearing turban and captioned it as: ‘And it’s a wrap for #Kesari...a film which swells up my chest with immense pride. Get ready to witness the bravest battle ever fought on 21st March, 2019.

Earlier, Parineeti also share a picture of herself with Akshay Kumar and said that she is proud to be a part of this ‘epic experience’.

She captioned the image as: “Anytime I watched a war movie, it was the love story of those brave men that kept me going…so proud to be a part of this epic experience!!! Slated for a 2019 Holi release, ‘Kesari’ is one of the most anticipated films of 2019.
