From Anushka Sharma To Madhuri Dixit, Celebs Raise Their Voice For Lockdown On Domestic Violence

Bollywood celebs like Anushka Sharma, Madhuri Dixit, Karan Johar, Dia Mirza, Vidya Balan, Farhan Akhtar among many others have taken a stand to raise their voice against the increasing number of domestic violence at this time.

In a one minute video, they have asked the people to report if they come across any case of domestic violence within your home or neighborhood, report!

In the video, the celebrities can be heard saying, "During the lockdown there has been a sharp increase in the number of domestic violence cases. To all the men we say, now is the time to stand up against this violence. To all the women we say, now is the time to stand up and break the silence."

Taking to Twitter, Karan Johar thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray for "this critical initiative."

Lockdown on Domestic Violence is an initiative by Akshara Centre, in collaboration with Special Cell for Women and Children. It is supported by Maharashtra government and Maharashtra police.
