After over two months of lockdown, the nation is unlocking slowly and the entertainment industry is ready to go back to work. Shooting of films, TV and digital series will be allowed in non-containment zones in Maharashtra in the latest phase of lockdown with certain conditions, as per an order issued by the state government on Sunday.

As the new Government Resolution gets Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s approval, shootings of ads, shows, and films will commence over the next few days. And by the looks of it, the first film to start shooting would be Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.

Reportedly, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was already shooting in Filmcity and his set is still there. So the possibility is that his movie will be the first to resume shooting with the necessary precautions.

This will be the first film of actress Alia Bhatt with the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Earlier, she was supposed to star opposite Salman Khan in ‘Inshallah’. However, things did not seem to have worked out well for them and the movie got shelved.

Although, we hope that the resolution continues and the team works together following all the necessary precautions.
