Grammy Awards 2022 didn't mention Lata Mangeshkar in memoriam; fans disappointed

Grammy Awards 2022: The 64th annual Grammy Awards, which was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on April 3, is receiving flak as there was no mention of the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar in the Memoriam segment.

Similarly, the 'Nightingale of India' was not given a tribute at Oscars 2022 as well.

Now, the same thing happened at Grammy Awards 2022 where Lata Mangeshkar was not given tribute which is why fans are very disappointed about it.

One of the Twitter users wrote: "One of the world’s BIGGEST music icons #LataMangeshkar died this year and couldn’t get the mention in the Grammy “in memoriam”? Truly a rubbish show indeed.”

Likewise, another user wrote, “#Grammys just remembered all musicians who died last year. Missing Lata Mangeshkar they missed big.” “Wow, Grammys didn't even bother mentioning #LataMangeshkar. Do you even know her level and contribution to song and music? #GRAMMYs” wrote another.

Lata Mangeshkar had begun her singing journey in the 1940s. In a career spanning over seven decades, the 'Nightingale of India' had lent her melodious voice to several hit songs. She was also known as the Queen of Melody and the Voice of the Millennium.

Mangeshkar died on February 6, 2022, and it was shocking news for the entire nation.
