Guru Nanak Dev Ji's 550th Prakash Purab: Sikhs Around The World To Plant 1 Million Trees

Considering the environment, the Sikh community- EcoSikh is aspiring people to build 1 Million trees around the world to deal with the adverse effects of global warming. The group of EcoSikh activists have come together to fight the issue of air quality, loss of habitat for animals, pollution.

Eco-Sikh plans to plant 1 Million in 1820 trees by November. The group, founded in 2009 connects values to provide solution for the inflated environmental issues.

However, the ongoing challenge has become popular among followers of Sikhism, and tens of thousands of trees have already been planted in the country. The project began early this year.

EcoSikh Ambala Team did a plantation drive and organized a workshop for the students at Govt. college Jatwar(Dist.Ambala) under 550 Rukh Guru De Naam campaign.

Moreover, the youth is actively taking part in the program because they understand how it is the need of the hour pertaining to their future. The program is also a celebration of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in 2019.
