Gwandian: Dhol Cover By UK’s First Female Dhol Team Will Blow Your Mind!
UK’s first female dhol team, popularly known as Eternal Taal, has released the dhol version of Richa Chadha’s debut Punjabi song titled ‘Gwandian’. They uploaded the video on their YouTube channel. The video has so far garnered over 3,000 views.
Formed in 1999, Eternal Taal is drumming group that is trying to break free of stereotypes. The group is formed by Parv Kaur.
She got recognition for her effort after she was presented with the award for 'Contribution of bhangra music in the UK’ by the House of Commons in the year 2010.
They have also featured in Bollywood movies like “Shaandaar”, “Yamla Pagla Deewana” and “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”.
They are very much active on social media. Besides YouTube, they have their accounts on Facebook and Instagram as well.
Meanwhile, Richa Chadha’s debut Punjabi song is a party number and it will make you hit the dance floor. The song has garnered over 5 lakh views with 30k likes on YouTube. The song was released on October 4.
Besides Richa, Dr Zeus and Zorawar Randhawa have also crooned few lines from the song.
‘Gwandian’ is a reincarnation of Dr.Zeus hit track with the same name. The original version of the song was sung by Amar Arshi.
The latest version of the song also features Richa’s ‘Fukrey 2 co-star’, Varun Sharma.
Dr Zeus took to his Instagram account to share the song with his fans. He captioned it as: “Song out now!! Big up to @therichachadha , my brothers @zorarandhawaofficial , @fukravarun and @krickmusic .”
On the work front, Richa Chadha is currently working on Shakeela biopic, which is slated to release in 2019, whereas Varun Sharma is waiting for the release of his next film ‘Fryday’, The film also stars Govinda and Digangana Suryavanshi. ‘Fryday’ is slated to release on October 12.
