Mandy Takhar is born and brought up in UK.

Mandy hails from a Punjabi family and because of her father she speaks Punjabi so fluently.

Mandy attended the weekend school to learn about the language and Punjabi culture.

Mandy Takhar made her Pollywood debut against popular Punjabi singer-actor Babbu Mann in the film, ‘Ekam - Son of Soil’. She was highly appreciated for her role in the film.

Her role in ‘Mirza - The Untold Story’ got her nominated for the Best Actress at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards. The same year she stepped into Bollywood with film ‘Bumboo’.

For her performance in film Sardaarji which also features Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh in the lead, Mandy Takhar bagged the award for the Best Supporting Actress at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards.

Mandy Takhar’s role in the movie ‘Rabb Da Radio, was lauded by the audience and critics.

Mandy has featured in several Tamil language films as well.

Not just acting, she also made a bang in the music industry with her song ‘Lado Rani’.

Besides being a top actress in Pollywood, Mandy is associated with Khlasa Aid. In 2016, she personally visited and worked in the relief camps in Kurdistan region.

On the work front, Mandy is currently waiting for the release of her next Punjabi film 'Lukan Michi'. The movie is releasing on May 10.
