Popular Punjabi singer Maninder Buttar known for crooning songs like ‘Sakhiyaan’, ‘Who Cares’, ‘Dil Nu’ among others, is celebrating his birthday today on August 1. Born in Kalanwali district, Sirsa, he made his debut in 2012 with the song ‘Naaran Te Sarkaran’.

Today, on the occasion of Maninder’s birthday, we bring you some lesser known facts about him:

Maninder is well known for his song ‘Sakhiyaan’, which has garnered over 355 million views on YouTube in no time.

In 2015, his song Yaari was nominated for "Most Popular Song" in Punjab's prestigious PTC Punjabi Music Awards.

Maninder made his singing debut in 2012 with the song ‘Naaran Te Sarkaran’. Buttar sang the song "Dil Nu" for the Punjabi romcom Oh My Pyo in 2014.

He has worked with other singers like Raftaar, Ammy Virk,and Happy Raikoti.

Maninder has also given his voice in Bingo Mad Angles ad song with singers Ammy Virk, Badshah, and A Kay.
