Inspiring! Truck Driver’s Daughter Neha Is Punjab’s Topper With 99.5% In 10th Std

Neha Verma, daughter of a truck driver, failed to control her tears soon after Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) declared Class 10 results on its official website on May 8. Neha emerged as the topper from Punjab in class 10th board exam by securing 99.54 per cent marks.

Neha is a student of Teja Singh Sutantar School at Ludhiana. Neha topped the examination by going regularly to school as her father Pawan Kumar had no money to pay for her coaching fees.

Soon after the results were out, Neha spoke to news agency ANI and said: "I worked hard the entire year. I never studied under pressure, it is my hobby."

“I never opted for any tuition — neither I required coaching nor did my parents had money to pay for it. They gave my school fee and that was more than enough for me,” she said as quoted by Indian Express.

Neha wants to be an IPS officer in the future.
