Inspiring! Two Sikh Doctor Brothers Shave Their Beards To Treat Covid 19 Patients Safely

Doctors around the world are the unsung heroes right now, who are at war and treating coronavirus patients during the pandemic. While we salute all the doctors out there, the two of the Sikh doctor brothers are inspiring people on a different level.

Canadian based physician Sanjeet Singh-Saluja and his brother Rajeet, a neurosurgeon, were forced to make a decision that affected them on a very deep, spiritual level and the Sikh brothers had to shave their beards.

According to media reports, Sanjeet was unable to wear protective gear due to his beard and this meant that he could not work closely with patients of coronavirus. However, he decided to choose his duty over his religion for the greater good of society.

“We could choose not to work, but in a time when healthcare workers are falling sick, we would be adding stress to an already taxed system,” Sanjeet said in a video posted by the McGill University Health Centre.

They were saddened to take this decision but they realize that this is the need of the hour, and it is seva that matters right now.
