The long wait for Bigg Boss OTT's host is now over. While names like Sidharth Shukla, Farah Khan, and Rohit Shetty were circulating, Karan Johar will host the digital mini version of the most popular show. For the special series, which premieres on Voot on August 8, the filmmaker will step into Salman Khan's shoes.

Karan Johar is proficient at this new job, having hosted numerous seasons of Koffee with Karan. He even presented What the Love!, a Netflix dating show that aired in 2020. India's Got Talent, Nach Baliye, and India's Next Superstar have all included the filmmaker as a judge.

“My mom and I are ardent Bigg Boss fans and wouldn't miss it for a day,” the filmmaker said of hosting Bigg Boss OTT. As a viewer, it keeps me enthralled with a healthy dose of drama. I've always enjoyed hosting shows, and now with Bigg Boss OTT, it'll undoubtedly be Over the Top. It's a dream come true for my mother.”
