Kesari is based on 1897’s Battle of Saragarhi, in which 21 soldiers under British Indian Army fought against 10,000 Afghan invaders. Besides Akshay, the film also features Parineeti Chopra in lead role.
Directed by Anurag Singh and co-produced by Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Hope and Karan Johar’s Dharma Production. The film is slated to release on March 21.
