Lata Mangeshkar health deteriorates again; will remain under the observation doctors confirm

Lata Mangeshkar's condition worsened when she tested positive for Covid-19 and was taken to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital. Her condition is critical, and she is undergoing therapy. She's now on a ventilator once again.

The 92-year-old singer was hospitalized to the Breach Candy Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on January 8 after testing positive for coronavirus with mild symptoms.

Dr. Pratit Samdani, who has been treating Lata, confirmed that the singer's health condition is critical and she will be kept under observation.

Dr. Pratit Samdani had earlier stated that her ventilator support had been discontinued due to an improvement in her health, but she is now back on it.

Mangeshkar, who began her career at the age of 13 in 1942 and has over 30,000 songs to her credit in many Indian languages, is regarded as one of Indian cinema's best singers. Lata Mangeshkar, often known as the Nightingale of India, has received various medals and honors, including the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, and the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, as well as multiple National Film Awards.
