#MeToo Movement: Vinta Nanda Files Complaint Against Alok Nath

Writer-producer Vinta Nanda has said on October 17 that she has filed a police complaint against actor Alok Nath, whom she has accused of sexually violating her 19 years ago. The complaint was lodged at the Oshiwara police station.

Earlier, Vinta Nanda accused Alok Nath of sexually harassing her in the 90s, when she was the producer of the hit TV show Tara. She took to her Facebook account to share all the details. She even accused Alok Nath of mixing something in her drinks before offering her a lift to her home.

Besides Nanda, Several others also came out about their experiences with Alok Nath, who is s known for his roles as a stereotypical Indian father, personifying religious traditions and moral values in films and TV shows.

Following the allegations, leading film and television associations like CINTAA (Cine and Television Artistes Association) and IFTDA (Indian Film and Television Directors' Association) also issued a notice to him in this regard.

Also, Alok Nath had filed defamation suit against Nanda, demanding a written apology and compensation of one rupee.
